Kenya was the first  non-european country honoured to co-host the Burgerfest at the invitation of the German Federal President, H.E. Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender. The festival was held in Berlin, Germany from 13 to 14 September 2024. The event was graced by H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, First Lady Rachel Ruto, Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, H.E Musalia Wyecliff Mudavadi, CS Alfred Mutua and Kenya's Ambassador to Germany, Stella Mokaya Orina.
