JULY 2019 : This is to notify the Kenyan Diaspora that the Department of Immigration Services has rolled out the e-Passport application submission and biometrics capture service for Kenyans in Diaspora at the Embassy of Kenya in Berlin, Germany. You can still use your manual passport until 1st March 2020 after which it will be rendered invalid.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. Passport applicants who are 18 and above must be holders of a valid Kenya National Identity Card (ID card) to be able to apply. Parents who hold a valid ID card can apply for their children who are under the age of 18.

3. All passport applications must be made on the Department of Immigration Services page on www.ecitizen.go.ke You will have to enter your ID card number to be able to register on eCitizen and then apply for the passport.

4. In order to register successfully, a verification code will be sent on the number you enter. Currently, the codes are only sent to Kenyan mobile phone numbers that have never been registered on eCitizen.
