Hon. Raila A. Odinga, M.P. the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya ended his five days private visit to the Federal Republic of Germany on 1st May 2008.

The Prime Minister accompanied by his wife Mrs. Ida Odinga arrived in the country on Sunday, 26th April 2008. He was received by Ambassador H. Mutuma Kathurima, EBS on arrival at Stuttgart Airport.

The Prime Minister who studied in the University of Magdeburg in Germany is fluent in German. He has visited Germany many other times before officially and privately. He was appointed as Kenya’s second Prime Minister on Sunday 13th April 2008, after an important and historical National Accord and Reconciliation Act was unanimously passed by the Kenyan Parliament on Tuesday 18th March 2008.
